Kubojitsu is an art of self defense, grouped into the mixed martial arts, a martial art that is flowing throughout the body and used as a weapon.

The Kubojitsu combines punches, kicks and sweeps from karate with throw techniques, takedowns, and grabs from Judo and jiu jitsu. The combat works from all positions, standing in the clinch and on the floor. Kubojitsu also includes dislocations from aikido and chokes from regular jiu jitsu.

In real life scenarios, dislocations, throws ares as much effective as punches or kicks, in training we take the fight till the adversary taps out, like in other traditional martial arts we train with Gi, but also we train in no gi to make training more modern and realistic, using clothes taht we can wear on a streetfight. The offcial kubojitsu uniform is now blue, the kuboblues as you can apreeciate it in the photo.

The name comes from the combination of two words, Kubota surname of the founder of the system and jiu jitsu. The grand master Takayuki Kubota believe this art of self defense as a synthesis of its 70 years of experience in karate, judo, aikido, wrestling and Taiho Jutsu techniques.
